Fish the bountiful waters of Sturgeon Lake in Northwest Ontario...
Sturgeon Lake located 52 miles northeast of Ignace, Ontario is home to some trophy lake trout. Having said this, you could spend your entire vacation going after lake trout and never get bored! You may even pull in the occasional trophy over 20 pounds to brag to your friends back home about. The northern pike fishing in Sturgeon Lake is also second to none. Each year Cobb Bay anglers land a multitude of northerns in excess of 40 inches, so bring a big landing net!
Walleye are an angler's favorite because of their delicate taste, and they're perfect for shore lunch! Northwest Ontario is well known for its excellent walleye fishing, and Sturgeon Lake is no exception. A variety of structure within the lake makes for some fast paced and exciting walleye fishing opportunities. Another option for great walleye fishing is to utilize one of our many outlakes accessible by truck, ATV, boat, or portage. The options are endless, and it's our goal to put you on fish!
Whatever your pleasure we're sure that if you spend a week with us at Cobb Bay Lodge it will be a fishing trip you won't soon forget!

Just got back from a very nice time visiting Cobb Bay resort near Ignace, Ontario CA. We fished for 4 1/2 days and caught 303 fish! The fish were mainly Walleye (14' - 20" average) Northern's (22" - 34" average) and some nice sized Lake Trout and Ling. Jamie and Sheri run a very nice accommodating resort. The resort is located on Sturgeon Lake, a 53 mile long lake where there is excellent fishing. There are also many nearby out lakes that offer great fishing and beautiful scenery. I highly recommend this resort.

Got back about a week a go from Cobb Bay Resort on Sturgeon Lake. Fishing was good as we caught many walleyes, northern, and even some lake trout. Jamie and Sheri went out of their way to make sure we had a good trip and had good fishing. I've been to several resorts/lodges in Canada and none have I been welcomed and treated like I did at Cobb Bay. The staff truly want you to have a good time and catch fish!

Would like to echo everyone else's feedback about Cobb Bay Resort. Jamie, Sheri and family really welcomed us on our first trip last week. We can't say enough good things about the camp, boats, equipment, fish cleaning house, etc. This is a great place for family adventure without having to rough-it. Our kids really enjoyed the "pet" northerns at the docks too!

I have been going to Canada for close to 20 years and have never been more impressed with a camp and the fishing then with Cobb Bay Lodge. It's tough finding the spots that hold fish but we never fail to find fish while at Jamie and Sheri's. Jamie and his all of his guests are always assisting if someone in camp is having a hard time locating fish. My family and I just returned from Cobb Bay and already are looking forward to next year.

After 25 years I returned to Cobb Bay. When I left it was after the largest forest fire the area ever saw; my wife and I were evacuated three times and the landscape was almost totally devastated. What did I find after all these years? A new forest and a totally renovated lodge and cabins that are second to none. The transformation has been accomplished mainly because of the charming family of Jamie and Cheri Fassett who have been there for 11 years " busting their butts" with a passion to make sure everyone catches fish and feels welcome.
