Tanner Publow, from Orangeville, ON was our final successful bear hunter of the 2009 season. What a beautiful bear! Congrats, Tanner!

Moose hunting continues, though very slowly. A cow and a bull have been successfully harvested so far this gun season. Unfortunately, we have no photos, as our hunters forgot to give us copies! Archery season was so tough this year, with the weather SO warm, and the black flies SO bad!

As October comes to a close, we find ourselves preparing for the long winter ahead. The docks are out, the cabins blown down (except one full of moose hunters), the wood cut and split, and the cabin linens piled in the back room awaiting a good wash. I will be busy for the rest of the day! Jamie and the boys are busy beaver trapping and enjoying a beautiful fall day!
